Hi! I’m Ellie Claringbold, a freelance writer, editor and student journalist.

I have a keen eye for newsworthy stories and pride myself on producing clean, high-quality copy. In February 2023, I began writing about politics and culture for Edge of the Crowd, an online media outfit. My work here has included a regular politics podcast called Edge of the Election. I often write articles about my local area, Geelong, and enjoy contributing regular content to the Parliament of Victoria website.

I have extensive editing and proofreading experience, and currently work as an editor for WORDLY Magazine, a literary magazine and website operated by students at Deakin University.

I also offer substantial marketing experience, previously working as a social media manager for a small, start up construction business. I enjoy the curation of unique content and am passionate about the power of effective social outreach.
